Abstract

This study examines the merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) following Pakistan’s 25th Constitutional Amendment. It analyzes the administrative and judicial reforms replacing the Frontier Crimes Regulations with the Interim Regulation Act 2018. Using qualitative methods and data from official documents and scholarly sources, the research highlights improvements in governance, legal structures, and socio-economic development, especially in resource management and infrastructure. However, challenges remain in fully implementing reforms. The study recommends ongoing institutional capacity building, economic development programs, and improved judicial access to ensure successful integration and sustainable progress in the region.
